Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters growing up and getting into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it takes you straight into this fictional world, it takes time and the attention to detail in setting up the locations and characters in a commendable show-don’t-tell fashion. Solid character development and world-building mean it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch without any knowledge of the game. The animation is absolutely excellent.
There’s incredible attention to detail
As an anime fan, I found it to be The animation in Arcane is far superior to anything I’ve ever seen in an animated series before. It’s clear that no artistic talent or financial expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life. A great soundtrack, great acting, and a compelling story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and more adult themes. Only the first three episodes have been released so far and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!.
