The original Dinah’s introduction tells the story of how Rossak’s sister evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using voiceover is from one called “Mentats of Dune.” The development of the Nurse, Mentat, Navigator, and Suk Doctor intertwines throughout all three books. It’s pretty crazy to me how many people complain about this show after one decent pilot.
The quality was good
I’d give the first episode a 7.6. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it certainly wasn’t crap like many of these stupid reviewers are describing. NO, it’s not like Sex and the City.
Release a few more episodes first, damn it!
And YES, the whole mission of the Benne Ghesserit is to manipulate bloodlines in politics. It’s written in both the movies and the books, so what are you people giving 1-5 stars for!? Stop judging a show so harshly after just one episode.
